A Look Back at Findicate’s First Year
Reflecting on 2023 and Charting Our Course for 2024
Dear Findicate Community,
As we approach the end of 2023, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've undertaken together at Findicate and share our vision for the upcoming year.
Celebrating Growth and Impact
This year has been marked by remarkable growth within our community, as we've witnessed the unwavering dedication of each member in supporting and championing women-led startups.
We started off in late 2022 testing the concept of an angel syndicate focused on women-led startups in Asia through our first investment in TANGGapp. After the overwhelming support we received, we have now invested more than 135k USD into 4 startups across Asia and grown our community to 85 members across 14 countries. We have held in-person events in Singapore, Manila, and Hong Kong. We were nominated for for awards like the Women in Payments’ Advocate for Diversity, accepted into the 2X Global Launch Pad program, and participated in numerous forums and panels supporting women’s economic empowerment.
Together, we have celebrated the successes of our portfolio companies and our community members, while seeking feedback to improve our process and communications. Most importantly, we have strengthened our commitment to fostering diversity and innovation in the startup ecosystem in Asia.
Investment Highlights
In 2023, our syndicate proudly directed investments into four outstanding startups that embody the spirit of innovation and empowerment. We are thrilled to continue our support for TANGGapp, Docosan, Buscaro, and SALT. Each of these ventures brings unique value to their respective industries, and we are confident in their potential to make a lasting impact.

TANGGapp is building remittances and payments for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) by helping them send money from the U.S. to their families in the Philippines.
Docosan is building a platform for healthcare providers and patients in Vietnam, providing bookings, telehealth, and at-home testing, diagnostics, and delivery services.
BusCaro is building a mobility platform for commuters in Pakistan that provides safe and affordable transportation options, especially for women.
SALT is building financial services for women in India by creating a fintech app specifically designed for women users and their needs.
Strategic Focus for 2024
Looking ahead, our vision for 2024 is centered around strategic initiatives aimed at amplifying our impact throughout Asia and creating sustainable growth. Our key focus areas include:
1. Raising Grant Funding for Operational Excellence
We are actively exploring opportunities to secure grant funding that will cover operational expenses, allowing us to formalize our structure and grow our operating team.
2. In-Person Events for Local Chapters

To foster deeper connections and attract more angel investors, we plan to organize more in-person events for local Findicate chapters. These gatherings will provide a space for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of insights among angel investors and female founders.
3. Angel Investing Education
Education is empowerment. We will be launching angel investing education programs to equip our angels with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed investment decisions.
4. Co-Investing Collaborations
Recognizing the strength in collaboration, we aim to forge strategic partnerships with other syndicates and VC firms, enabling us to collectively write larger and more impactful checks.
Call to Action
We invite each member of our community to connect with us if you are passionate about supporting these initiatives. Your insights, expertise, and support are invaluable as we strive to create an even more influential and diverse ecosystem. Together, we can continue to be a driving force for positive change.
Specifically, we are looking for:
Grant funding opportunities through NGOs or VCs
